About The Affordable Organic Store
The Affordable Organic Store sells seeds for vegetables, flowers, herbs and microgreens in small packs, along with live indoor and flowering plants, bulbs, manures, pots, self-watering sets and beginner gardening kits. Most items cost well under ₹200.
It was started in June 2020 by Kamal Gupta, a retired Air Force officer, and Manju Gupta, a retired teacher. They found that seeds were usually sold in bulk and nursery plants often failed at home. The business began by hand-packing seeds and says a team of women now runs packing.
It also sells sustainable gifting and runs bulk orders, workshops and a Seeds for Plastic programme. It ships across India.
